• Hey there, Asnow! From what I can tell, you were the admin last active on the Books Hub, so I decided to come to you.

Recently, Wikia changed some of the footers that were being used on wikis. The one that came to my attention was the Science Fiction footer, which was used on mine (Ender's Game) and many other sci-fi book wikis until staff removed it. They are replacing it with Moviepedia footers, and invited me to join it due to the fact that there was an Ender's Game movie made. However, the Enderverse is most signifigantly a book series, and I felt that a footer for Science Fiction Novels would be a better fit for my wiki.

Would you be interested in setting up more "official" wiki footers for books wikis on the Books Hub? As both a Staff member and an admin on this wiki, I thought that I should bring this idea to you for consideration. Thanks!

• Hi there Ari! Just wondering, are you back from your vacation? I'm seeing your Wikia Staff profile back in place, so just wanted to know if I can still talk to you about stuff.

Terribly miss the Buzz Books blogs you used to do. They highlight what's hot each month.

• I see! Phewww...... that doesn't sound too bad at all! The only thing I can think of is that I do rather like how the top 5 Wikia Books Communities are on display via WAM Score.... Do you know if it's possible to keep that element in the traditional wiki-formatted main page?

        Loading editor
• Unfortunately, I don't think so. Most of the main page hubs are being disabled soon so we won't have any control over the WAM content being displayed :( I'll ask just in case!

• Can my wiki, Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki at: http://diary-of-a-wimpy-kid.wikia.com/wiki/Diary_of_a_Wimpy_Kid_Wiki become official friends of this wiki? Or do I even need to ask? This appears to be an official Wikia wiki.

• Hi Asnow89. Its good to talk to you again (I enjoy your enthiuasm). I needed a few favors from you (to be on on Books Hub Wikia) as well as an update on what's going on with the "Bible Book Club". We have sort "revived" the Bible Book Club on Bible Wiki, except at a much simpler level. We are hosting it only Bible Wiki (we renamed and rebranded) instead of hosting on Books Hub and calling it a Book Club. It is a much more simpler program where we are trying to get people to read their Bibles and contribute relevant content on the specific topics of the books. So we are not really revving the Book club, but rather creating a successor to it.

With that said I was wondering if you could remove the Bible Book Club forum and its mentionings on the Book Club pages? I really appreciate if you do this, but I do not expect (of course I am not opposed) you linking to our new one. Finally I have sumbitted a link to the intro post to the new forum board and program on the "From the community" section and was hoping you could link it.

In Christ

• Hi there Ari!

Is it possible for you to add the following to w:Template:YABookWikis:

• Lockwood & Co.
• Blood of Eden
• Half Life Trilogy
• Partials Sequence
• Shades of London
• Waterfire Saga

You can review those wikis here:

The only one I truly truly wish for to be added is obviously w:c:lockwood-and-co, but I figured since I'm requesting an edit, might as well make the fullest of it. Lockwood & Co. although technically classified as mid-grade, like Harry Potter, Magisterium, Percy Jackson & the Olympians, Septimus Heap... etc., users on Goodreads actually identifies the series more as YA, so I think it is suitable.

For w:c:bloodofeden, is it possible for you to consider adding the same code I provided at Thread:11839#3 but this time at w:c:bloodofeden:MediaWiki:Wikia.css? The reason behind this request this time round is that, the series changed the covers dramatically for the US, and there's actually a matching cover for the first book to the rest of the series, but at the same time, the Australian editions remained using characters on the covers. Right now I think it is a tad bit mismatching, and thought it'd be simply easier if able to showcase both. It's just a suggestion though. Also, because the current logo is just slightly missing 5px; the Shatter Me community decided to go for modification when adding that wiki as an affiliate; is it possible to update the wordmark to w:c:shatterme:File:AWbloodofeden.png? So that if other people ever want to use it, its logo wouldn't be 5px shorter when sitting with other wordmarks.

• Hello! I just wanted to let you know that the sign up form on Sign Up is broken because verbatim was retired. Is the email list still in use?

      Loading editor
• Hey!! Oh no, thank you for pointing that out!

The list is still in use-- let me figure out how to embed and I will fix that. Would you prefer to send me your email here now to add or wait until the verbatim code is fixed?

• Hi there Ari! I know you are probably really really busy, but because Wikia did in fact not show certain notifications before, so I'm just making sure those aren't the cases that's happening.

I just want to know your opinion or what's going on (like what I should do in order to make certain things happen) at Thread:12860#6 and w:c:recipes:Thread:233378#6. Thanks! =D

On top of those two status unclear threads; does The Dinner happen to be one of the next featured books? If NOT, since it already got an award-winning film adaptation (which I just so happened to have watched), and since there's has yet to be a "Book to Film adaptations" exclusively for 2014, is it alright that I repurpose the page? I haven't gotten a reply from the other Staff... I hope I'm not severely annoying the both of you... Like I said... if it's indeed featured soon, I'll leave it alone.

• Hi there Ari! There's a few questions again!

1. Since it's almost February, is it possible to update Y.A. Society Reads Archive#Upcoming Books of the Month with a new set of 3 books the Hub is selecting for next future reads? I try to not bug you about it so often, but I figured when we are about to reach the last book the page displays, it's probably the time to say something. lol
2. Speaking of Book of the Month, was wondering, is any of those three books: The 5th Wave, Northern Lights, and Warm Bodies going to be featured as the Books of the Month any time in the near future or at all? (As in within 2016)? I'm almost done with converting book pages into series pages when applicable; those three seem to have higher possibility being selected as featured books for they had film adaptations. But yeah, if there isn't any plans for them for the time being, I'd just go work on them so it covers even more stuff about the series as a whole instead of just the first book of the series; and rest assured, edits will still stay for as a regular user I cannot actually delete anything. Let me know so I can decide what actions to take.
3. Stars Above
Is it alright for me to create a page for Stars Above? Initially I didn't think about it because I thought it was just going to include the novellas that have been published along with 2 new ones; but it turns out to include a total of 9 stories. I think the number is relatively big for collections, and it could be seen as a series of novellas. Trust me, it'd be just one additional page about this collection and not a tons of page for the short stories it covers. The only other collection I'd vouch for the same treatment for now would be The Bane Chronicles, as it includes an even bigger number of stories; but yeah, I won't be making a habit of creating a bunch of collection pages, just the ones that I feel like really do include a lot of content. Hope that's acceptable?

• Hi there Ari! Sorry to bug you during your hectic moments, but I've already uploaded an HQ version of Stars Above File:Stars Above.png back when I created a page for it; is it possible for you to switch out the image being used at User blog:Asnow89/February 2016 Buzz Books??

• Hi there Ari, I know this is sort of out of nowhere but because it involves in, let's say, "unintentionally" violating good faith, I'm coming to you for help and hopefully it could be taken care of

So, for this particular wiki you've also been on, the current Bureaucrat has offered me both the Admin and the Moderator (now Discussion Moderator) positions around last April (the links are wall threads where she has specifically mentioned those offer); but I've declined both back then because at the time I was helping other wikis getting back on ground. Not long after, the wiki was proven to really needed help, and the Bureaucrat openly looked for Admins; however, after the test run, the candidates' user groups were changed to Moderator and Rollback, leaving the Bureaucrat herself to be the only remaining person to do admin duties.

This was fine for the rest of last year, as I was still taking care the other wikis, plus the fact that if something really needed to be dealt with; I would message her, and she would take care of it, usually quite quickly.

Unfortunately, I have not heard from her for over a month, and that is quite unusual. That would have been find, because I totally understand that people have real lives; but I'm writing you all this is because the wiki is currently vacant with an active person with rights to delete and protect stuff, and it just so happen, there's currently stuff that urgently needed to be protected. So... If it's possible; what I'm asking here, sadly, is that hopefully, with both of the evidence provided, you can help promote me as a Content Moderator there instead? I have actually wrote to her about this, but like I said, according to Wikia's record, she hasn't been on since last early December. This is just to take care of specific situation; if she comes back and disagree with it, her user group is allowed to demote me, and I will be fine with it. But currently the wiki needs help. I hope it can be seen as "accepting an offer super-delayed, and the offerer isn't there to make the adjustment, and that's why I need your help"... Hope that makes sense.
